REDEFINING OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR SKIN, YOU ARE MORE THAN JUST YOUR ACNE

What is the concept of beauty? In our society, much of our value and identity is wrapped up in how we look. We underestimate the role of developing our mind, our creativity, our work, and our relationships play in accessing our inner strength and power.

Enter Skin. Skin-Esteem is directly linked to our perceived attractiveness which is inextricably linked to self-esteem. Psychological and social distress is a natural, normal response to skin symptoms.  People that experience even minor skin ailments are often plagued by insecure thoughts. Ironically, those with mild symptoms may suffer more psychologically than those with severe symptoms even after their skin has cleared.

How do we begin to heal from the inside out? At Faith In Flower, we believe wellness begins with positivity and self-kindness. We asked photographer Alex Moore to conduct a social experiment in the streets of Manhattan. He randomly approached passersby requesting to photograph them twice; first, without dialogue and second, Alex told each person they were beautiful. The result was consistent. The second time around each person smiled from ear-to-ear and lit up from within.

At Faith In Flower, we don’t want to just help you fix your skin, we want your life to be better.
